The Hunger Games
Josh's dad put the Hunger Games series of books onto my iPhone last week. I had heard from a ton of people that they were really good books and I was sooo excited to read them! I have finals all this week so last Thursday when I started I told myself I'd read one book and then I needed to wait to read the last 2 books til I was done with finals. WELLL.... 6 days and 1,153 pages later... I am DONE with the series :) I love to read and when I read something I love it's hard for me to put it down, and when I do I can't concentrate on anything else. On Sunday I finished the 2nd book and told myself... Amber you have 3 finals starting tomorrow you cannot start the 3rd one. But monday morning came and I started the book and just finished it in less than 24 hours. For anyone who has not read them I definitely recommend them because they are amazing. I got a 90% on my final on Monday and my last 2 finals are tomorrow so I am studying right now. Once tomorrow night rolls around I will be done with school til August and won't have any more books to read so Josh will be glad to have the attention back to him since all I did all weekend was read my books from morning to midnight hahaha sorry honey! I am going to read as many books as possible this summer since I have no school... yay! My next book will be "Matched" by Allie Condie which I will start reading after Jamaica. We leave in 3 days wooo!! If you have any good recommendations to me for good books, leave me a comment :)

Mom's Birthday!
Today is my mom's birthday! She is 41 years young :) People still say she looks like my sister... she does not look old or seem old at all. I am so happy that she is in Utah finally after being away from her for almost 3 years, it has been nice to just be able to run to her house really quick because it is only 10 minutes away. Yesterday I took her to lunch at our most favorite place ever, Olive Garden, and then we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was about 50 degrees, but there were no clouds and the sun was shining and it felt so good! We layed on the grass for a while and soaked up the sun. Afterwards, we went to get ice cream, and lucky day... it was 31 cent scoop night at Baskin Robbins!! We were very first in line too! So happy birthday to my mom... I love you!
Bye Calaigh!
Calaigh moved on Monday night to California til August because Sterling does sales in the summer. All of the girsl (and sterling) went to lunch on Monday. We will miss you!

Our First Easter (being married)
Easter is definitely my most favorite holiday ever! I love it. Mostly because mini Cadberry Eggs are out and those are my heaven. I love all the bright colors of easter, egg hunts, baskets filled with candy, dying eggs... I love easter!! Me and Josh dyed eggs Friday night, and then we got each other an easter basket that we set out for Sunday morning :) Josh hid all of my stuff in the closet under his shirts... which he hid when I was in the room and just told me to close his eyes, so I knew where it was, and when I know stuff is hiding and know where it's at I have the HARDEST time not looking! Soooo I peaked and saw everything he got me for Easter hahaha. I told him Saturday night cause I felt guilty, but I told him he had to hide stuff for me or I will look if I know where it is. Usually he hides all my presents in his trunk, and I never look cause he is always gone and I'm too lazy to go outside anyway, but since I knew where it was "hidden" I looked. He got me 5 bags of Cadberry eggs, which I already ate one full bag today :/ I got him some Nike sandals he really wanted because he saw Lebron James wear them so he just HAD to have some even though I think they are super ugly... he is spoiled :) But I am too so I guess that's why we are perfect for eachother.
Easter Baskets!! Josh's on the left, Mine right
Yay Cadberry eggs!!!! :D
Josh's "Lebron James" sandals... he wants to wear them with socks like Lebron says and I was like uhhhhh NEVER. I will take them back if you wear them with socks. ewwwww!
Easter eggs nails!
I love doing my own "glitter toes" and saving $30! Just pour glitter on wet clear nail polish and BAM instant glitter toes!
hmmm
Happy Easter to everyone!! ♥

Spring Break!
Ahhh it was so nice to finally have spring break.. even though I only got 2 days off (really only 1 day that I would have school on..) instead of a whole week like all the other colleges got.. it was nice. Me and Josh went down to his dad's condo in St George. We left Thursday around 2 pm and just got back Sunday night at 1 am. It was around 75-85 degrees everyday we were there and I was loving it and did not want to come back to the rain and snow and cold stupid salt lake. On Friday, we went to Zions and hiked Angels Landing... it took us 3 hours (1/2 hour for sitting and eating lunch) so really 2 1/2 hours to hike round trip. We were expecting about 4 or 5 because that is what the brochure said. It is 5.4 miles round trip, the "getting there" part ALL strenous uphill hiking which about killed me. This is the hardest hike in Zions (so the brochure said) and we did it! I almost didn't do the last mile which is the actual angels landing part.. I am very afraid of heights and this is a really narrow cliff you climb up, which has chains you have to hang onto and pull yourself up, and you are walking basically on the edge of this cliff (which is 1300 feet up in the air)... it was so scary!
THIS is the last mile up to the top of Angels Landing...
Josh looking off the edge of Angels Landing
1300 feet up on the edge of a cliff! We made it!
On Saturday, we went and hiked around Pioneer Park, which has the "Dixie" rock that you can see from downtown St George. Then we went shopping in the outlet malls.
Amber on Dixie rock
Josh on Dixie rock
On Sunday we went back up to Zion's on our way home, and hiked the Kayenta Trail, the Emerald Pools, and the River Walk up to the Narrows. We really wanted to do the Narrows, which is an 8 hour hike, but they were closed because of flooding and high water. We hiked about 6 miles total.
Waterfall at the emerald pools
Stupid deer
Josh and his new buddy
Creepy weird Blair Witch project type thing at the end of the River Walk
All in all... we had a great great weekend getaway! So sad we have to come back to the cold :( Good thing we wont be in utah much longer.. ok like 2 years.. still wayy too long for me. But I guess I'll have to deal with it. I just keep invisioning hottt Arizona or Florida, our top 2 choices :)

Planned Parenthood
***** Did you hear? The House voted to bar Planned Parenthood from federal funding. They cut funding for HIV tests, cancer screenings, birth control, and more, putting millions of women and families at risk. We can't let it go unanswered. It's time for you and me to stand with Planned Parenthood. Sign the open letter to the reps who voted for this bill — and to the senators who still have a chance to stop it. ****

Click on the link and sign your name to vote against the closing of Planned Parenthood!! This helps so many teens and women get cheap birth control, pap smears, and HIV testing that most cannot afford through a doctors office! Please go do it! It takes only a minute!
